I love to read......Romance that is mild or steamy, contemporary or historical, paranormal or futuristic. Throw in some bestsellers and classics and I am a happy reader.

Beautiful Disaster - Jamie McGuire, Emma Galvin 4.5 starsEnough has been said about this book both from lovers and haters.I was unsure about how I would feel about it and kept putting off reading it. But I guess I was in the mood for an OTT New Adult book, because I quite enjoyed the audiobook version.
Silver Love - Hayton Monteith 4.5 starsJust loved everything about this one. A new-to-me-author that I am so glad I discovered. There were no big misunderstandings although it would have been so easy for the author to slip in that direction.I loved how Silver never doubted Pan despite the fact that she had secrets (big secrets) and he knew that there were things she was not sharing with him. He trusted her completely and it was so refreshing to find this in a category book. The longer length of the old Candlelight Supremes really gave the author time to develop the characters and throw in a bit of suspense.Awesome read and now I want to track down more books by this author.
Tomorrow - Come Soon - Jessica Steele 3.5

Pregnant with the Billionaire's Baby (Harlequin Presents #2839)

Pregnant with the Billionaire's Baby - Carole Mortimer 2.5 stars
The First Alpha - K.A. Taylor Well, the blurb sounded quirky and the price was right, but I had a hard time finishing it.I just felt disconnected from the story despite the fact that it seemed well written and had very few editing errors. There was a lot going on for such a short read. I felt the focus should have been on the interaction between the H/h.

The Frenchman's Love-Child

The Frenchman's Love-Child (Brides of L'Amour, #1) - Lynne Graham 3.5 stars
Bride For A Year (The Big Event!) - Kathryn Ross 3.5 stars
Falling For My Husband (British Billionaires) - Pamela Ann 2.5 starsThe bad editing just got worse as the story progressed. When I hit the 75% mark it seemed there was no effort to edit or proofread at all.The main characters in this one did not really generate any empathy/sympathy from me. This is my first book by this author and I was not impressed. I enjoy this genre and the blurb peaked my interest, but the execution was disappointing.
Unbroken Promises - Dianne Stevens I was curious about this one as the reviews were either love it or hate it.I finished it....just barely. The dialogue was often awkward and unrealistic. I've never seen a heroine who attracted so many jerks and then forgave them for unforgivable acts. She was like a tstl jerk magnet. The hero was a total man-slut. Yuck.Sorry, but I have join the nay-sayers on this one.

When Fangirls Lie (How (Not) to be Seduced by Rockstars #1)

When Fangirls Lie (How (Not) to be Seduced by Rockstars #1) - Marian Tee Looking forward to reading this series!
How Not to be Seduced by Billionaires (How Not to be Seduced by Billionaires, #1-3) - Marian Tee Loved this sweet and sassy story. At first the characters seemed a bit over the top, but then I found myself smiling and really enjoying their interactions. The bit of angst at the end was the perfect finish.Totally enjoyed it.ps Hope Drake gets a story!
Nick and Lilac - Marian Tee Baby billionaires abound in this university town!I liked the premise and for the most part it worked for me.What didn't work so well was Lilac's ability to be intimate with Nick so easily after the severe trauma she suffered. That did not ring true and took a star away from my rating.Karla's betrayal was sort of swept under the carpet and I wanted to know what happened there.I am curious about the other BBs (baby billionaires) and hope they will have stories of their own.
A Reputation to Uphold - Victoria Parker This is my first Victoria Parker HP and I hope she writes many more!
When You're Ready (Ready, #1) - J.L. Berg Smiles and a few tears. Really enjoyed this one! The alternating points of view made it easy to connect with the characters. I loved the hours I spent with Clare, Maddie and Logan and hated to see it end.I did feel it slowed a bit right at the half way mark and that caused me to take away one star from my rating.Be assured that although the book as marked as a series, this is a complete story and the next book is about Clare's friend Leah. Really looking forward to that one next year.
Fated Affair - Patricia Lake 3.5 stars
The Marriage Renewal - Maggie Cox This one really missed the mark. Way too many questions left unanswered regarding the hero and their time apart. Totally did not believe the HEA.
